Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Solar Installation Kelowna respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we protect it. We follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you call, email or send a form, we collect the details you choose to give us: usually your name, phone number, email, neighbourhood, utility, property type, what you are interested in, an approximate monthly bill and any notes.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider may record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and the referring page.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare an assessment and quote, carry out work you hire us for, and meet our legal obligations. We may contact you about your enquiry by phone, email or text message.
Who we share it with
We share information with our contractor partners when they help assess or carry out your project, and with service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting and email delivery. They may use it only for that purpose.
We never sell your personal information. We may disclose it where the law requires.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for these purposes and for legal and record-keeping requirements. After that it is securely deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards for the information involved. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If spam protection is added to our forms, it may set a cookie for that purpose only.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to further contact. Email hello@solarinstallationkelowna.com or call 250-250-2525. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
