ABOUT

About Solar Installation Kelowna

Installed right for the Okanagan sun. We help Kelowna homes, businesses and off-grid owners save on electricity, with a plan written down before the first panel goes up.

WHO WE ARE

Solar installation for Kelowna, done in order

Solar Installation Kelowna helps homeowners, businesses and off-grid property owners across Kelowna cut their electricity costs with solar. We work everywhere from Downtown condos and Landmark District rooftops to hillside homes in Tower Ranch and orchard properties in East Kelowna.

People come to us with one of three goals. Homeowners want to know what a system costs installed, which utility rules apply to their street and when it pays for itself. Businesses and farms want lower bills from big roofs and open ground, sized to the right utility limit. Off-grid owners need power for a cabin, shop or well where running a line costs more than the system.

HOW WE START

A plan before the first panel

We start with your numbers: a year of bills, your roof or ground space, its direction and shade, and whether FortisBC or BC Hydro serves your meter. In Kelowna it is FortisBC, which changes the paperwork, the export credit and the payback compared with the rest of BC.

Then we write down the system size, the layout, the cost, the timeline and the payback year. If solar doesn’t make sense for your property, because of shade, a north-facing roof, a roof near the end of its life or a very small bill, we tell you. It costs us a job and saves you 25 years with a system that under-delivers.

WHO INSTALLS

Who does the installation

The installation is done by our own crew and our vetted local contractor partners: licensed electricians and experienced roofing crews who handle the permits and the FortisBC paperwork, and commission every system.

We are upfront about that because it is how good trade work gets done in a city this size, and because it means your crew knows Kelowna roofs: concrete tile on the hillsides, low-slope ranchers on the benches, strata membranes downtown. What doesn’t change is the point of contact. You deal with one person from the first visit to switch-on.

HOW WE WORK

What we hold ourselves to

  1. 01

    Utility first

We tell you which rules apply before we talk about panels. In Kelowna, that means FortisBC net metering and no rebate.

  2. 02

    Sized to use

On FortisBC, a system bigger than your yearly use builds a surplus that is settled at a low rate. We size to your bills.

  3. 03

    Drawn, then built

You see the layout on paper before you sign, and a photo record of the roof work after.

  4. 04

    Straight answers

    Including “not on this roof”.
